Early in law school, Mr. Jacobs worked for John Williams, Esq. and Steve Manchester, Esq. whose sophisticated criminal defense practice demonstrated that the smartest lawyers in America didn’t all work for Wall Street. 

Also during law school, Mr. Jacobs also served the Santa Clara County Office of the County Counsel as a welfare hearing officer, hearing ten cases per week involving compliance with eligibility for General Assistance. 

Mr. Jacobs began his journey in business law while still in law school thanks to the Bay Area firm of Ferrari Alvarez Olson & Ottoboni, for whom he served as a transactional associate in both the corporate and commercial real estate departments. In the late 80's he left Silicon Valley for Sacramento to join John DiGiusto, Esq. and his partners in their new boutique business practice.

From 1993 to present Mr. Jacobs has practiced with partners, and solo, in business and commercial real estate transactions, and limited business litigation matters. He is one of the limited number of transactional attorneys who have litigated a full book of business disputes successfully, including as lead counsel in trial to verdict, costs and fees.
